Meta Cultural and Development Association – DFW (MECUDA DFW) is a dynamic cultural association that brings together the people of Meta residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a non-profit organization with 501(c) status, we are dedicated to uniting the sons, daughters, and well-wishers of Meta in North America. Our mission is to create a vibrant social, academic, and cultural forum that upholds and celebrates the rich heritage and shared values of our community.

Our Heritage

The sons and daughters of Meta constitute a vibrant and hardworking community, deeply rooted in the cultural landscape of the Mbengwi Subdivision in the North West Region of Cameroon. With a population exceeding 180,000, Meta is the largest group in this region, playing a crucial role in the socio-cultural fabric of the Bamenda metropolitan area.

Our Cultural Values

Cultural discipline and values are at the heart of the Meta community. We practice and pass on a Code of Conduct that shapes our identity and guides our behavior. MECUDA-DFW takes pride in leading efforts to research, galvanize, and further develop this code for the benefit of Meta descendants residing in the DFW area.

Our Journey

Since our official launch in 2006, MECUDA-DFW has been dedicated to fostering and passing down our cultural heritage to the next generation. Our holistic approach to development ensures that we address the social, economic, and political empowerment of our members, with a particular focus on those in the United States.
